Roxy: Surfboard Sweepstakes, Don't Let Someone Beach You To It

Roxy’s March 22nd email, titled “Chance to win a surfboard — don’t let someone Beach You To it”. Centered around the sweepstakes, the imagery, color combination, choice and layout of typeface all convey a simple message of casual surf culture. Other than the nav bar on top, there’s only 1 call to action button right smack in the middle – “FIND A STORE”. They clearly know where they want the users to click. The designs of their email campaigns tend to be less product/commercial oriented, and this one is no exception. It is artistic and unexpected,  reminiscent of print design rather than web design.
